ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Yvonne Harrison and I’ve always been a storyteller—it just took me a little while to figure out how I wanted to tell them! I started out as a dancer, completely convinced I was destined to be a professional ballerina. When I joined a professional ballet production, I fell in love with the rehearsal process—the discipline, the creativity, the magic of bringing a story to life. But then, everything changed when I stepped into my high school’s spring musical freshman year. Suddenly, I wasn’t just telling stories with my body—I was using my voice, my emotions, and my imagination in a whole new way. I was hooked and the rehearsal process only deepened that realization. I quit ballet (much to my past self’s shock!) and threw myself into acting. At my core, I’ve always loved a good mystery. Thrillers, psychological dramas, anything with high stakes and deep emotions—I live for it. That passion led me to film and television, where I fell in love with the intimacy of acting for the screen and the power of capturing raw, honest moments. So, it only made sense that my next big adventure would be chasing my acting dreams in the city that felt like my home away from home: New York. Somehow, someway, I knew I had to be here. And getting the incredible opportunity to study at NYU at the Atlantic Acting School to build my career has been so exciting and I can’t wait to see where it leads me next!
